Memorial Day weekend...

...and a beautiful one it has been. I was off for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday which was quite nice. My friend Colleen came into town for a visit and we went camping up in the national forest. This trip was exactly why I bought the truck camper. We were able to drive a dirt road about 35 minutes up into the forest and stay in a sweet spot by a stream with no one else around. We hiked a bit and had a big old campfire (a given if I'm there) and had a nice time catching up. It had been about three and a half years since we had seen each other so we had a lot to fill each other in on. I'll get a picture up as soon as I find my little camera. I know it's here just not sure where. We also had dinner Saturday night at a place here in Winter Park that I had been wanting to try and man was it good. It's a small place thats modeled after a place in the Virgin Islands and the food was amazing! Worked about a half day today and then I'm meeting some friends for dinner tonight to celebrate a birthday. Should be nice. Hope you all are having a great weekend and enjoying time with family and friends. I also want to thank anyone who has served in the military or is currently serving.
