Somewhere on the road less traveled

I am a 34 year old who recently retired, sold my home and possessions and bought an RV so I can travel America. Please come along on my adventure by following me here. Enjoy.

Thursday was an...

...expensive day off!! I am sorry to not get back on here till now but I have been busy. Friday morning, after basically not sleeping the night before, I got my truck back about 11:30 and headed back up the road to Stephen. Work had started back at 11 but I managed to get there about ten minutes to one so I did not miss much. By 8 that night I was exhausted so I pretty much went straight to bed. Saturday we worked a full 12 hour shift so by the time I showered, fixed dinner and ate I was ready for bed. This morning we are shut down for frozen beets so I slept in a bit and took the opportunity to update. Back to the truck. I had to replace the cam position sensor, the glow plug relay and the starter. Damage?- $854!! It stinks but that is life and at least I was somewhere where I could get it done. It very easily could have happened at a time and place where getting fixed would have been much harder. The consensus here at the site is the harvest will go through Wednesday so I am getting close to being done here. The forecast is for nice weather from today on so if that holds we will finish quickly. Anyway that's how the last few days went and again sorry for not getting the info out sooner. Remember though no news is good news so of course I was fine. Take care, Jim
