Hang on it's going to be...

...a long day! I am sitting in Denver airport waiting to board a plane for Memphis. From there it's on to Tampa, into a rental car and down to Port Charlotte for an orthodontist appointment. That is supposed to take an hour then back to Tampa to fly to Houston then back to Denver. The first flight leaves Denver at 5:30 am and I am supposed to get back here at 10:35 pm so it will be a fun day. The flight is booked on Delta airlines but I will not actually be on a Delta plane on any leg of the trip. The first plane is a Pinnacle Airlines, then Northwest and finally the last two will be Continental. Glad I don't have to check any bags. Well time to go get on the first plane and head to Memphis, be back later.-- Well I am in Memphis now. Had a smooth flight, I guess, since I was asleep before we took off and woke up when the wheels hit the runway here. I have about 25 minutes till I get on the next plane so that is not a bad layover. So far so good and I hope this trend continues. Talk to you next from Florida. Bye.-- Tampa!! Just a little late but not bad. Gonna get my rental and hit the road south. Once again I slept the whole time so I guess it was a good flight. Feels weird to have humidity in the air after a month and a half in Colorado. Plus it's hot! Oh well I guess that's Florida in the winter.-- Well I am back in Tampa airport getting ready to get on another plane. My appointment went very well and things are going great with my teeth. The doc is happy so that makes me happy. She even said she does not think I will have to keep the braces on for the three years she origianlly predicted. That is of course fine with me! A funny thing happened as I was headed back to the interstate. My phone rang and it was my friend Melina and since I was on the road she works on I stopped and got to visit for about 18 minutes before I had to go so I would not miss my plane. Thought that I would be able to sneak into town and get back out without anyone knowing I had been there but I got busted. I hadn't told any of my friends or family I was coming because I knew I had no time for visits and I did not want anyone upset. Hope you all understand ok and maybe next time I will be able to stay longer. Gotta run, time to go to Houston. -- Another flight, another nap. Slept all the way here till the wheels hit the runway. I have about 50 minutes to wait so time for dinner. I will say this though, this is a huge airport. Glad I did not have to run to make my connection because I was a long ways away from the gate I needed. Let me eat and get on the plane to Denver and this long day will almost be over. -- Well I'm back in Denver right on time so all I have to do is get back to my truck and make it back over the pass and I'll be home. The weather is good so I should make good time. -- I am home! Safe and sound and tired after a 22 hour marathon day but it was fun. Three different carriers, four airports, a rental car and a doctors appointment and I can honestly say it all went perfect. Thankfully it all went perfect. I'm lucky as well because Thursday is my day off so I can sleep in a little then I am probably going skiing. Right now though it is bed time! Take care Jim
