Merry Christmas!!!!!

Well it is Christmas which is hard to believe because that means 2006 is almost over. We have gotten quite a bit busier here this week and Wednesday we will get extremely busy. We are at 100% capacity through New Years so it will be a fun week! Work has been going very well though and I am still having a great time. I was outside this morning doing some chores and when the sun started to rise it was spectacular. Had to run upstairs and grab my camera. It is amazing to just be able to walk out on the deck and see a site like that. We have quite a bit of snow on the ground since the big storm went through. It dumped almost 30 inches on us and then we got another 3 or 4 yesterday. The day after the storm I was able to get up to the mountain and ski. It was so cool to be skiing in powder up over my knees! Plus crashing, which sometimes happens, doesn't hurt at all. It's just hard sometimes to get back up because there is nothing to push against but soft, puffy snow. Fun though, very very fun day. The staff did a secret santa gift exchange today which was fun and Jimmy and Jeannine ordered in pizza and we ate and had egg nog so it was a nice day. Tonight we are having prime rib for dinner so I am definitely looking forward to that. Don't know if I will ski this week or not. To many tourists on the mountain and being able to go anytime has already spoiled me so that I don't like going when it is crowded. That's the beauty of being here all season though- I can skip a week. Plus I slipped this morning and smacked my arm into the ski rack on the back of my van pretty hard so I think letting it get better will be good. I have to run now but I hope all of you are having a very happy and safe Christmas wherever you are. Take care, Jim
