Somewhere on the road less traveled

I am a 34 year old who recently retired, sold my home and possessions and bought an RV so I can travel America. Please come along on my adventure by following me here. Enjoy.

Been snowing since 7am...

...and it's still coming down. It is supposed to continue until noon tomorrow so who knows how much we will get. We were getting an inch an hour for most of the day so if that continues it will be a bunch. I had fun today doing my driving. This morning getting the guests to the mountain was easy but as the day went on the roads got bad. Around three I was picking up some guests who had gone dog sledding and managed to get the van stuck. The snow by that point was above my knees. We got it out and I picked up some more guests but by the time we got back to the lodge there was so much snow on the driveway we could only get halfway up it. All in all a fun day. I was sick for a few days over the weekend and the beginning of the week but I think I have gotten over it. Lots and lots of vitamin C and herbal tea and zinc, plus some good long naps in the afternoon seem to have done the trick. We are steadily getting more guests and by the weekend we will be up to 95 to 100 guests. Then it drops for about two days and over New Years we will be completely full. Should be fun meeting so many people though. I'm going to run now though. Hanging out with the rest of the staff tonight playing some games and watching the snow. I'm off tomorrow though and very much looking forward to hitting the mountain and playing in all this powder. Take care, Jim
