Somewhere on the road less traveled

I am a 34 year old who recently retired, sold my home and possessions and bought an RV so I can travel America. Please come along on my adventure by following me here. Enjoy.

Look what Cinco de Mayo brought to Winter Park...

...thats right SNOW!!! Very beautiful to wake up to. I have not posted in awhile so let me catch you all up. The day after I got back from Arizona we got 15 inches of snow but within two days it was gone and it has been 70 degrees since so this snow was a surprise. About three hours into my trip back from Arizona I found out that I had no tail lights, brake lights, running lights at all on my camper. I tried some trouble shooting in a truck stop parking lot but could not find the problem so I just made sure to be careful and made it back. There is a Lance camper dealer about 40 minutes from here so Tuesday I dropped mine off to get it worked on. Then Thursday I dropped my truck off at the body shop to get the fenders replaced so hopefully both the truck and camper are done next week as promised. I have been busy working at a house my boss owns that we are doing some remodeling in. I have about a week of work left there so after that I'll be starting some projects here at the lodge. It's been a fun change of pace and enjoyable for me. Here at the lodge it is quiet now. Our cook and maintenace guy are on vacation for the month, as is the nanny. Then Tuesday the girl we had hired to be a housekeeper for the summer packed up and snuck her stuff out the back door and took off with no notice or warning. Jimmy and Jeannine and the kids left Thursday for vacation, and Kathy who is our office girl is gone for the weekend so I literally have the lodge to myself right now. Kinda neat to be in this big ol' place by myself. Enjoying the peace and quiet though for sure. Nothing else to report so I'll go now but I hope everyone has a great cinco de mayo and a safe one as well. Take care, Jim
