Somewhere on the road less traveled

I am a 34 year old who recently retired, sold my home and possessions and bought an RV so I can travel America. Please come along on my adventure by following me here. Enjoy.

I'm back and it was worth the trip.

Well I'll begin by thanking my buddy Matt who was kind enough to volunteer to spend 23 hours on the road with me yesterday. We had a great trip and even though it was a long day we made it safely up and back. I am happy to report that it was well worth the trip as I found a 2003 Lance 1025 truck camper in excellent condition. The people selling it were very nice and actually spent three hours showing me every nook and cranny of the camper as well as giving me all kinds of advice and tips for when I'm on the road. We agreed on a very fair price and I put a deposit on the camper so now its just a matter of closing on my house and I will be picking it up shortly thereafter. I took a picture of it which I am going to try and post here so hopefully I can figure it out. I am also going to try and post a picture of my truck which I bought back in January. Picture the camper on the back and voilla- my house on wheels! Finding this camper has really taken a lot of pressure off but I have a lot to do by May 10th. The next step is starting this weekend with a garage/moving sale. Hopefully the weather is good and the customers plentiful. I'll let you all know how it goes. For now I am one step closer to the road. Take care. Jim
