Somewhere on the road less traveled

I am a 34 year old who recently retired, sold my home and possessions and bought an RV so I can travel America. Please come along on my adventure by following me here. Enjoy.

Going to spend the 4th in...

...Virginia! I think I am anyway. I am just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and plan on wandering south tomorrow till I find someplace to stop and hang out. Maybe I'll get to see some fireworks as well. I had a wonderful visit with my friends but it was time to get back on the road. Hopefully the weather stays nice and the traveling easy. As I said the time I spent with Tom and Heather was great. So much has happened since we were at Ft. Campbell together but except for two boys becoming four boys, don't know how you do it Heather, it was like nothing had changed. We spent some time catching up and they took me along to a BBQ on Saturday then another on Sunday. It was great meeting new people and wow did I do some eating. Being able to catch up with some old friends as I travel has really showed me how lucky I am and blessed as well. I have amazing friends in Florida but it's great to know that even far from them I have people I can count on. Tom and Heather thanks for everything while I was there. I had a great time and can't wait till the next time we can get together. Hopefully we can pull off the reunion with Mike and Sonya and the rest of the gang. I will post tomorrow hopefully and let everyone know how my 4th was but in case I can't I hope all of you have a wonderful and safe day celebrating America's birthday. Somebody make something blow up for me please! Take care, Jim

Jim,
It was great having you here and seeing you again. I'm surprised you stayed as long as you did with all the kids in the house. Even I need a break after about three days. They loved having you here as well and are asking when you will be coming back. It was great to be able to catch up and I think that we should have no problem doing the reunion. Only a couple of people that we need to track down. Have a great 4th and let us know where you spent it. We'll keep up with your trip. Take care.

Jim,
Great picture of Tom and Heather they have not changed a single bit. Mike and I need to get off our butts when we get some free time and give them a call back. It has just been so hectic. Glad you are well and looking forward to more posts. Hello to Tom and Heather from Mike and Sonya Kreis
