Somewhere on the road less traveled

I am a 34 year old who recently retired, sold my home and possessions and bought an RV so I can travel America. Please come along on my adventure by following me here. Enjoy.

Thought I'd throw up a couple more pics...

...for you all to enjoy. I took these while I was up in
Montana at school. I think they are pretty nice
so here they are.
This is a macro shot of a cactus. I love the colors in
the plant and the perspective. I took this under a bridge in Missoula. It was
almost dark so I took a really long exposure
which resulted in the water getting just a great
softness to it. I love the arches and the way they repeat. This picture was fun to get. We had gone out
to a great creek and the weather was gray and rainy.
When I parked I saw this tree but really no way to
shoot it as it had a row of stumps, a fence and then
a bunch of cars parked in front of it.
I did my shoot up the creek bed and when
I came back to the parking lot all the cars were gone.
I pulled my truck nose in to the fence and got
on the roof with my tripod as tall as it would go and
managed not to fall off or shake the truck and got this shot.
Lot of fun.
I have been busy since I've been back at work. Had a group as soon as I got back and another coming in Thursday. Doing some projects as well getting ready for winter. It has been getting quite cold at night and the aspens are dropping their leaves so I think winter is not far off. I can't wait for the first big snow to hit. Let it snow let it snow!! Gotta get to bed now so I'm going to run. Take care, Jim
