Not superstitous but...

...Friday the 13th was a doozy. First about one thirty in the morning power went out in just one room in the lodge. No breakers popped, no reason at all just poof no electricity for about 30 minutes. Then about four thirty in the afternoon we had a BIG chimney fire! We got very, very lucky that the lodge did not burn down. Fortunately Reno and I got it out but it took a little bit of work and was kinda scary for a bit. We had fire going from the second, third and fourth floor shooting about six feet out the top of the chimney. The chimney is a 14 or 16 inch pipe so it is good sized and it sounded like a jet engine roaring. Quite a bit of excitement. Haven't had an adrenaline dump like that in quite a while. All in all a crazy day. Well have a great weekend and I'll be back from Florida next week. Take care, Jim

WOW! That is wild, but I am glad that all was safe and it didn't cause substantial damage.
